Important Patch Available for ICVERIFY® for Windows® Software Users

ICVERIFY, Inc. takes data security extremely seriously. As a result of its ongoing efforts to monitor and ensure that its software meets the highest standards of data security, the ICVERIFY team has identified an issue in the ICVERIFY® for Windows® software product affecting how the product handles transaction processing when the software is used in a multi-computer or integrated mode.

To be clear, this issue is the result of the ICVERIFY software interacting with other software applications in order to perform authorizations, and it does not affect transaction settlement or interchange qualification, nor does it affect any WebAuthorize® product users. While the issue does not affect stand-alone users, it is important to us to resolve this issue for all our customers, regardless of whether a user would be affected by it now or in the future.

ICVERIFY, Inc. has therefore issued a free patch for the following software versions:

This patch is free of charge and is available immediately through the ICVERIFY Help Desk at (800) 900-6133, or via the ICVERIFY Web site by clicking on this link.  Furthermore, the patch will be built into all versions of software moving forward.

To determine if you need the patch, look at the physical CD you used to install your software.  If the CD label says "3.1 Release 6 Revised 06/05" or reflects a higher version number than 3.1 Release 6, your software is already patched.  If you do not have access to the physical CD, contact the ICVERIFY Help Desk to help you determine your installed software version.

If you are using a version of ICVERIFY software prior to version 3.1, please be aware that your software version is no longer supported and you need to upgrade to the most current version as soon as possible.  Please contact your software vendor or ICVERIFY, Inc. for information on upgrades.
