ICVERIFY, Inc. Software Products Receive PABP Validation
Rolling Meadows, IL, October 11, 2005 - ICVERIFY, Inc., a leading provider of payment software for merchants of all types, today announced that the upcoming releases of its ICVERIFY® for Windows® and ICVERIFY Enterprise Edition software products have been validated as conforming to the Payment Application Best Practices (PABP) security program promoted by Visa® USA, Inc.
With the validation, ICVERIFY, Inc. is one of the earliest participants in a growing list of software vendors who recognize the importance of their ability to help protect both merchants and consumers from data and security compromises.

The Payment Application Best Practices program is an offshoot of the Payment Card Industry (PCI) data security initiative promoted by the major card associations, and is designed to validate that payment software products meet certain critical standards in the areas of data encryption, user security and customer information protection. Under the program, payment software vendors must submit to annual audits by certified third parties to assess their ongoing commitment to data security. The audit results are reviewed and approved by Visa® USA.
Merchants performing their own PCI security compliance audits can take advantage of PABP-validated software as a secure, pre-assessed centerpiece of their payment acceptance operations. This can be a tremendous advantage, especially for merchants with limited information technology resources.
