In ACH processing, a customer number has been entered that is not on file. Enter Y to add a new record, N to reenter the customer number.

The ICVERIFY command was invoked while the program was already memory resident; no action was taken.

The system is waiting for the customer to press enter, confirming the transaction amount.

This message accompanies Approval Code or Reference Number information that you may need to acknowledge. The current screen will remain until you press a key to make your next entry.

ANY KEY TO PRINT RECEIPT
If the system has been set up (in ICSETUP) to print more than one receipt, this message will appear after each receipt, to allow the operator to tear off each receipt before another one is printed.

The transaction has received approval, with the displayed Approval Code (plus, in some cases, a reference number).

  6. 'INVALID Buffer'

After you instruct the program to delete a transaction, this message indicates that the transaction has been deleted.

The ICSETUP:POPUP screen has a 'Y' indicating that 'DISK SWAPPING' is desired. The ICVERIFY software has encountered an error trying to set up Disk Swapping.

DUPLICATE! ESC=VOID, Y=FORCE, N=ACCEPT
The processing company has detected a possible duplicate transaction. Enter 'Y' to process the transaction as an additional transaction, 'ESC' to ignore the transaction, or N to re-process the original transaction.

  • Disk is Full Invalid Path [check ICSETUP]

  • Access Denied Path Not Found Disk Not Ready [Floppy Disk or Hard Disk error, or network setup problem.]

The ICVERIFY software has now been loaded into memory as a 'POPUP' program in single-user mode. Press ALT-V to activate the program; when the program is operating, press ALT-V to return to the previous program.

CHECKFREE message: The Account number you have entered is not a valid CHECKFREE Account number.

The card number you have entered did not pass the test for Valid Card Number (number was probably mistyped). Check the number and correct your entry. OR, the card that was passed through the Card Reader is not an acceptable card for this type of transaction on your system.

You have typed a character that is not valid in the current field (e.g., an alphabetic character in a numeric field).

NO EMS MEMORY. USING DOS MEMORY
The ICSETUP:POPUP screen has a 'Y' indicating that 'EMS MEMORY' use is desired; however, the ICVERIFY software has failed to find EMS on the system. The software will proceed using DOS memory.

The modem did not receive a dialtone when attempting to dial. Check the phone connection.

The ICVERIFY software has not found a working PIN Pad at the PIN Pad Port indicated in ICSETUP:POPUP. The PIN Pad or PIN Pad Port must be corrected before proceeding with Debit Card entry.

The ICVERIFY software has not found a working PIN Pad at the PIN Pad Port indicated in ICSETUP:POPUP. If you wish, you can press 'Y' to select manual card number entry. Otherwise, the PIN Pad or PIN Pad Port must be corrected before proceeding.

A PIN Pad Error message indicates an invalid parameter or setting in the operation of the PIN Pad, the Track 3 reader, or the Signature pad. One of the following messages may also appear:

When a settlement report has been printed, this message appears to indicate that the report has finished indicates that the page has completed printing. To process the settlement, press any key except ESC. To return to the menu, press ESC.

TIME OUT ...
Modem has failed to connect to processor or processor has not responded before time set in Hardware setup ('Wait time for connect'). Additional reason may be given.

  • MODEM NOT RESPONDING: incorrect port invalid modem string incorrect phone number
  • NO DIALTONE: phone line not connected or plugged in to wrong port on modem.
  • BUSY: last dial attempt gave busy signal, may also be caused by internal PBS or invalid phone number.
  • ESCAPE: operator hit ESC key during processing.

Attempts to activate the ICVERIFY software while receiving the error 'DOS BUSY RETRYING' have exceeded 10. Try the Activate command again, or see your ICVERIFY Administrator.

The VOID transaction you have entered was not found in the Current file. If the transaction was already settled, a CREDIT entry is required.
