We recommend you first try the BAT file update. If that was not successful, try the following:

If this is a new installation or a reinstallation on a new computer, a likely cause is that some Microsoft® Windows® 95/98 .DLL's are not up-to-date.

  1. For ICVERIFY® software version 2.25 or later, download dao_gui225.exe

    You will be prompted to save the file to disk. Select a folder on your computer that will be easy to find. It's best to create a new folder on the C drive before beginning so that there are no other files in the folder.

    (Owners of previous versions should inquire about updating their software.)

  2. Once the file is copied to the desired folder, exit from the Internet browser application you are using and open the folder into which the file was downloaded (by opening Windows Explorer).

  3. Double-click dao_gui225.exe.

    It will create three sub-directories (Disk 1, 2, 3). Double-click the Disk 1 folder and then double-click Setup.exe. This will install the updated .DLL's.

  4. Once the update is complete, the downloaded files and the extracted folders can be deleted (or they can be saved in case reinstalling is necessary in the future.)
